RE: JR8103, GY401, RaptorV2 30 setup/config
Sorry I forgot to get my radio settings for you. I'll try to get to it today since my radio is here with me.
Anyway I bought the advertised package for the 8103 as you did. The R700 will not work with digital servos. You need to see if heliproz will accept a return of the Rx and let you pay the difference for the 649 or talk to Horizon about a replacement. Well Horizon also said not all the R700's have this problem, but every one I read about, tried and people I talked to had this problem. Horizon has said they made a mistake in adveritising the package. You can get support from Horizon Hobby right here on RCU if you need to.
You can check for the jittering by simply plugging the servos into the Rx and turning on both the Rx and Tx. For the gyro you have to cut off the little tab that sticks out the side on the Futaba connector to plug it in to the JR Rx. No big deal though. Just be careful using an Xacto knife to cut it off since you kinda gotta have your fingers next to the blade.
You can post a message or question Danny from Horizon in the radio forum.
Yeap it was jitter. The servos were not just making noise, but moving back and forth significantly. I mean like 60+ degrees of movement. Horizon said the feedback from the digital servos is too much for the R700 as it was designed before digital servos came out. With the PCM Rx I have no jittering issues.
