If you install a PCM receiver in your model with RF issues all you are heading for is a PCM lockout and a out of control model!!! Seen it many times. Some times it works for months and sometimes it works for a few flights. Just remember DUAL CONVERSION FM is your best bet. No one has given me a GOOD reason to run PCM. Any Takers???? Fail safe you say??? Well give me a scenario that fail safe will ALWAYS benefit you? The only fail safe mode would be throttle shutdown. But a PCM lockout is very scary with a 10 to 50LB model! This is an awesome fourm keep it up!!!!
The reason for using a PCM receiver is that it works better for rejecting interference. It also increases the range capability of the receiver because it helps pick the signal out of the noise. All of these posts show that. However, it should not be used to cover up a problem that you know exists and can be fixed.
