Well I just finished tinting my canopy this morning. Turned out pretty well. I put on a light coat of Black die on the inside, and then went over top of that with a light coat of LustreKote True Red. Gives the canopy a nice red tint when out in the sun. Looks rather neat in my opinion. Hard to see the red tint in the photos though, but it is there when you view the Plane in the right sunlight. I decided to tint the canopy instead of installing the pilot, because I may decide to add a couple extra ounces elsewhere like laminating the joiners with a 1/8" piece of Birch Ply just for a little added security. So it is kind of a weight trade off.
