Here is my cheapo test stand. I don't use a servo and Rx, only because I didn't think of it. For the throttle control, I drilled a mis-aligned hole in the backplate and glued a piece of fuel tubing in it. I run a piece of control rod through the hole and it holds the setting. I use C clamps to attach this contraption to a table.
