Default RE: The High Flyin' Guy

CLtom. I did wind up joining the AMA last year (2004). I did not paticipate in any contests in 2004. As my local Library has a subscription to the AMA magazine and I fly by myself in a deserted and I mean deserted, outside of town (during the week) soccer complex, I can not justify the price of joining AMA this year, nothing against the AMA, just that the company I worked for for 26 years, went out of busniss, and I have had a futile time finding a job at 60 years of age. I did find a subtitute custodial job (no health benifits) at the local school district at $8.50hr. This is in comparison to the $26.00hr I was making as an automated machine repair technician at my last employeer. Therefore I am cutting cost drastically this year. If and when I feel I can afford joining the AMA again, I plan to do so even if I probably may only fly in the one and only, (my first contest as a beginner) in Denver.
