Did you buy the RTF or the ARF?

The control rod should be in the second hole for the rudder, the third hole for the elevator. It has MUCH better control authority under power because of the airflow over the control surfaces.

Installing the motor with too much downthrust can cause porposing, as well as being tailheavy. I solved this problem with a heavier battery pack (6x1400 mah from CheapBatteryPacks.com).
