I think the A-26 kit you mean was made by Flight Dynamics of portland , OR.
it had a 36 inch span, wing area 310, fiberglass nacelles(!) foam wing, meant for .049 -.10 mills and sold for $49.95 in late 70's
fuselage sections did not follow the full scale plane in being rounded.
the center fuselage on the full size A-26 is box- like by design.
in set up of engines you could follow the practice used in a similar design in RCM for a JU-88- set up solid fuel pick ups to the bottom of tank. when nearly out of fuel pull in to loop shutting both off & glide in.
