I get paid 10 bucks Canadian (about 8 bucks american) a week to do chores, and they aren't easy, here’s my chore schedule thing that my mom made: Monday - bring garbage and recycle pails in from the curb & do laundry, Tuesday - empty all garbage pails and do kitty litter, Wednesday - Tidy room, Thursday - Vacuum basement and stairs, Friday clean main-floor bathroom.
I love the "and they aren't easy" part...
Looks like about 10-15 minutes a day, 5 days a week, roughly one hour total... you're making $10 an hour! Just put in a few more hours a week and you'll have an income!
I have 3 kids, and here's my take on it:
do you use the bathroom? you shouldn't mind cleaning it
do you wanna eat dinner? good - you should wanna clean the dishes that you ate on too
who messes up your room? oh yeah - so you might as well clean it up
where'd you put all the trash out of your room? ok - so ya filled up the trash can - go ahead and take it outside.
you don't wanna help with laundry one day a week? I'll trade ya - I'll do it one day, and you can do it the other six that I usually do it.
