Some of the most spectacular and almost synchronized tipstalls occur in the SAE competitions, right after takeoff when the turn to the downwind leg is begun.
As the pilots for the most part are semi-skilled at best, the rudder isn't a part of the airplane's control system once it leaves the ground. (They don't use it for turning.)
Af the Tailwinds field this turn is to the right.
The crashers all roll to the left.
That's the down-aileron side.
