As for paint go down to your local halfords and get them to mix you some paint to match. It wont be fuel proof but youll get a perfect match and then just lacquer over the top. The yellow paint on the cowl on mine was done like this and it really hard to tell the difference bettween the shade of the paint and yellow profilm.
