olddogg60 - coupler material looks familiar. Great job with the Icepoint gear. I have them, and may install if I need the clearance...also have an Icepoint PLANE coming, too....should be a fun Spring!!

Haven't flown the thing....still too dang cold/windy/freezing for me...but I will !!!!
I did set the thrust by just the spinner ring against the face of the fuse nose, and it was okay. Maybe needs a skosh more right thrust, but I don't know for sure.
Bob, the coupler material is great stuff! I recommend it! Thanks for the tip on the Icepoint gear. The extra clearance should work well on my flying field. I have been watching your thread for the Icepoint. Must fight the urge, must fight the urge.
I'm looking forward to your flight report for the Excelleron. I'm taking my time with my Excelleron. Helps me fight that urge. (See previous.) I did glass the pipe tunnel and mount today. I think that I will give them a shot of white paint to dress them up a bit then start mounting linkages and servos.
