u werent trying to fit the jt top plate on the cen were u mate? it wont fit cos thats the section with the extra length in, i believe. but it fits the jt chassis ok, or at least it should do.
i looked at a custom cage for a while, but decided to go with lightweight, and stiffeners only where i really needed it, and the theory that if i dont crash - i wont need a cage.... i dont have a pic of all the bits i did to the chassis in the end, but these should give u some idea of where im coming from...
i used engine spacers and alloy servo mounts, along with cut down radio posts, also a simple rod brace from the brake seat to either the front or rear toplate screws works well. the better location of the alloy servo mounts made the most difference as this also helped out with the toplate mounting - much more solid than the plastic parts, especially with the alloy brake seat.
