Hi Greg, thanks for the info. I looked closer and found the motor and gear box are $135 and for that much I can buy brushless.
I'm looking at AXI 2826 series as the ad indicates "direct conversion for .4 to .6 glow" and "flies up to 6.5lb plane".
there is a 282610 and a 282612 and I don't know the difference. Any clue? Which do I need?

Can you suggest a lipo pack and prop? I can get a 40A Jeti opto controller with either of the above motors for $209. I wouldn't know a bargain if I was slapped with it so does that sound reasonable?
