Default RE: Clutch problem

Yes, that has been a chronic problem with the Rappy. It seems the other brands do not have this issue but for some reason TT seems to not have heeded the advice of many .... their stock clutch to clutch bell liner clearance is way to wide!!! You MUST do the modifications described by the others here when installing a new clutch liner in the bell. This will make for proper clearance to the clutch. If you do not do this you will go through clutches regularly. The ofter market heavy duty ones last a bit longer but will still fail in about double the time. Why TT has not adressed this after so many years remains a mystery. This and their chronic flutter problems is what cause me and a number of others in our club to sell ours. Non of my Century helis (I have over 500 flights on some of these and have yet to replace a clutch or experience any blade flutter!!!) or my Kyosho Caliber 30 or my Hirobo Evo 30 helis have had this chronic clutch issue.
