I wouldn't recomend nitro for crawling. Not that it can't be done but because of the SLOW and tecnical nature of crawling, nitro would be a serious pain. You will go through clutches like crazy and likely stahl a lot! Electric is nice because it's much more controlable at really low speed and it also can't stall out on you like nitro will. Just my thoughts...
