RE: Excelleron 90
Well, tomorrow should be the first flight, as long as the wind stays down. My Excelleron has the Icepoint gear and canopy. I painted the canopy black because I like how it looks. I used 1/2" 3M white electrical tape (cheap stuff from Pep Boys) for trim and to hold it down, plus I added 4 screws for good measure. I also used a Sullivan tail wheel.
The engine is a TT 120RP with header and pipe, the same as olddogg60. I copied aerobob's cut out of the belly pan. I used a Sullivan 24 oz. tank and moved it to the front of the wing area. The plane balanced exactly at 7.25". We'll see how tomorrow goes, I still may have to play with the prop size/header length to get it to run right with the pipe. There's not alot of header length to play with. I'll be starting off with ACP 16x6 and 16x8 props and go from there.
