Hello, Nope, you can't buy just the cord. Soon you will be able to buy a dummy cord but it is just that, a dummy. It needs a "real" afpd cord (with the code) or a game commander ( buddy box with code) in order to use it. It's purpose is to allow folks with a commander box to also be able to use a real r/c transmitter or to allow commander or interface versions to fly two planes at the same time. Once you aquire a real afp/d cord then the g3 box will work with it. AFP/D wont fly without a real AFP/D cord (not dummy) or commander box (which also has code) constantly plugged in to the computer. If this is starting to sound like they (AFP/D) are selling you the cord and giving you the software then you're starting to figure it out. ALthough this is not totally true, it's close. Bottom line,,,,,,,, The cord is the only thing keeping their product from being illegally copied. Crowfly
