Yes, another cable would make it work, but I would be surprised if they sold you one for much less that the original cord/software combo, if at all. The reason the cord is required to play is to insure that no one does exactly what you are trying to do, that being, run the software on two systems simultaneously without buying two copies. I'm not accusing you of stealing, I'm just trying to explain their rationale.

If they sold the second cable for say $20 dollars and the package cable/software costs $170 (that's what I paid on omp) then many people would buy the extra cable and sell it to their friends for say 50 bucks. It would have the overall effect of reducing the price from Ikarus's perspective from $170 to 170+20/2=$95. I think they will try to protect the profits, after all there are some hard working engineers in Germany that need to get paid

Do you have a G2 controller or something so you and your grandson can play on a split screen?
