Default RE: Poulan 42 test run

Running the 42 some more to get more time on it. Today it didn't want to start. Then finally it did then died after about 3 seconds. Kept doing this. Only way to get it to start again was to turn the ignition off and on. Checked battery voltage couple times, showed good. Then one time it went to nothing almost. Kept messing with it and something in the battery pack/wiring is giving out. A 2700 mah nimhd. Put on a standard 600 nicad and away it went. I had charged it with a 50 mah over night charger. Read some where, though I don't know if it's true or not, that kind of charger won't properly charge that kind/size of pack. So I put it on a lot faster charge and tried it again. And it ran, but only for a few minutes and died again. Still checked a good charge. Guess it's going into the "no good" pile. I took that battery out of the reciever pack setup for my Byron Cap 21 I am getting ready. Glad I caught it now. It's not very old or seen much use.
I am using the Hanger 9 combination tach and battery checker. what else are people using and how do you like them?
