Theres a simple solution to this whole argument here
basically have 2 or 3 rounds. Maybe 2 to music and 1 silent. Don't have any compulsory schedule but tell the judges to look out for precision. This way if a person wants to fly precisely then they can do and they can get marks for it, wheras if someone just wants to do out and out 3D without much precision then obviously they still get marks but not as much if they lack the precision
simple solution? I think it is
this way people who can fly precision can still get the marks for it and people who can't can still fly at the event but obviously not score as highly

It should be anyones choice to do what they want
