Normal differential has the ail's going more up than down, usually about twice as much up as down, but it's not needed on a flat plate or symmetrical wing. In fact, on my Shocky, I had to take the differential out of it as it had mechanical diff in it because of the outward angle of the ail. push rods. Now it does axial rolls instead of barrel rolls.
