Default RE: Operation R/C

OK, here is the deal, I have noticed that there have been 151 viewings of this thread at the time of this post, post 16, only 4 people have contributed. I realize that not everybody has a plane sitting around that you can send overseas, but what do you have? Maybe some epoxy, some batteries for the Aerobird transmitter (it takes 8 AA batteries), some servos, exacto blades, what ever. How about just a thank you to Laine and Doug.

I talked with the owner of my local Hobby Town USA for three minutes and he agreed to donate some spare parts for the Aerobird. Tomorrow we will be checking into corporate sponsorship to help cover the cost of overseas shipping. I am a full time college student with four teenage kids and I have found a way to help. Lets face it we can afford to be involved in this hobby, we can afford to give just a little as well. If everybody would give just a little bit, Laine, Doug and their fellow service men, could get a much needed break from a tough job, defending our country, our freedom and the freedom of others.

To help you understand the type of person Laine is, I opened a pm from him this morning. I will not post it as I assme he wanted it kept private, but after he expressed his thanks he asked if there was anything he could do for me. Personnally, I think that two tours of duty in a war zone is more than we should ever ask!

Thank You and God Bless
