If the plywood is where you can't replace it then you need to fix the hole. Drill out the hole to a larger size and epoxy a dowel into the hole. After the epoxy has set you can redrill your hole and then thread it back to match your screws. Make sure you harden your threads with CA after you get them redone. This will keep them from getting damaged in the future.
