i would bet it has something to do with the programing on your speed controller i dint have the exact set up but i do have that motor on a jeti 8 amp speed controller and a 10x4.7 and i do have a pheonix 10 on my 2204/54 .......what is you battery ??? it might not handle the load if it is an older type battery
