I am no prop guru, sorry. I do know that the big boys use a prop gauge to measure pitch. Diameter (I assume) is how big it is around. Some props have a variable pitch, how all that is figured I can't say. I do know that pitch is measured like this:
4.8" pitch =s 4.8" of travel per revelation of the prop (not counting slip)
