Well as far as stuff to get it running those things on the bottom are the only "necissary" things. Extra screws, air filters, parts and tools come in handy though.

For the necissary things:
MT2 18ss $324
radio, rx and servos usually come together 150-200, or higher
fuel + fuel bottle $30
glow ignitor $25
(battery packs are better than AA's but youll still need AA's for some radios) battery packs about $30
6 cell batterys + charger -- 30 + 60 or you can buy a pull start and put it on there for around $25
(if you get a battery pack for the car youll still need a charger)
TOTAL= around $600

That is just an estimate of all the prices and parts can range a bit. There are also any number of ways you can set up your car, with the pull start for example. I like pull start cause as long as your engine is tuned you dont have to worry about dead starter batteries. True the RTR is cheaper but after you break a few things and replace them how much do you think you spent now?

Thats whats so fun about RC.... There is no ONE way to do something.
