Roughly in the same price range, but bigger (1M) and a much better sailing boat is the Voyager by Thunder Tiger (MRP 5559), a AC from the late eighties.
You'll have to make a better set of sails yourself, the stock ones are reasonably bad, made from Nylon that stretches like mad.
I've just finished a set made from Spinaker (ripstop) and she performs even better.

Thanks for the imput Jan... As well as you other guys... I'm mainly looking for a yacht, to do a few laps around a pond or small lake... then maybe do some racing...
