Get yourself a Fixed Pitch heli to learn on... CP helis are a little easier to fly due to higher head speed but will cost you quite a bit of $$ when you crash (and you will). My advice would be to get a DF or something similar and some Like90 rotor blades (higher headspeed = easier learning curve). Hold off on the Shogun for now... or get both at the same time but unless you have a large bank account and lots of time I would not get a CP heli with no flying experience.... but that's just my 2c.
