stadium trucks are primarily designed for racing on a bmx style track. They will usually be quicker, less expensive, and more manuverable.

Monster trucks are usually used for just bashing around in an empty lot, but have come into their own lately in sanctioned racing as well. They will usually be much larger, heavier, and a little slower - however, they have the ability to handle much rougher terrain and usually are a bit tougher too. They will usually cost as much as two times the price of a stadium truck though.
