Grrr! Multiple problems
I have my instructor's complete 1.2.6 disc, expansion pack, game controller and assortment of cables. I have no problem with purchasing if it will work. (Either I buy new or buy his and he gets newer version.)
I have been trying various routines trying to get this working most of day and all evening.[>:] I install 1.2.6 and expansion pack and then the download upgrade and try to load and get 'unable to locate cable' I have tried using 15 pin male in the joystick port, put adapter to USB on and tried that port. same reply.
I have uninstalled all several times. I get the above response before I download the upgrade. With the download installed it gives illegal operation and shuts me down.

1) I added Gamecommander to as a controller ID initially when I have it in joystick port, when I put it into USB port, computer recogized new item and added it as hardware, but it also added USB as a controller ID. Does program look for that name as a controller? When I select Gamecommander it shows it not connected if it is connected thru USB port.
HELP Please.
I also have a cord with a 9 pin female going to a male pin jack with two black insulators on shaft. The 9 pin has PRO printed on it. Have not figured just how it would connect to a TX.
No assistance from instructor as he is comm pilot and out of town for several days.
