Default RE: New 81" GP Super Chipmunk

Well I maiden my chipmunk yesterday. It flew great. I had to add about twelve oz of weight to get it to balance. I tried the flaps. I have never flown a plane with flaps before. The plane wants to climb when flaps are engaged. I turned down the throttle and the climb decreased. I think I decreased the throttle a little too much because I lost control for a little bit dropping each wing. I first thought I was taking hits on the radio. But got it down safely, and flew it a few more times. Does any one also have any problems with the wheel pants moving around and getting crooked. Im thinking of putting those landing gear straps behind to lock them down. The plane flies pretty well with a os 120. I flew it with a 16 x 8 prop. Not sure if this is the best prop for this plane and engine combo. This is only my 4 th plane I have ever owned or flown and biggest also.
