I have actually bent the stock plastic upper control arms, so yes the titanium ones help. If you get either the MT2SS steel ones or the MT titanium ones get these ball cups:

I have never had these break. In fact they are so strong, I have snapped the ball off the ball end. Also I thing that the more ridgid turnbuckle alows your suspension to work more linear. The stock plastics ones flex way too much.
