Default RE: Turboprop Raven for AFP(D)

The problem is this. It has nothing to do with Ikarus. Ikarus has laid the foundation for the designers to be able to create these planes easily, at least from the designers standpoint. NOW it's up to each induvidual designer to create the file by (A) creating it as a 1 click installation, better known as an .EXE. Or (B) a slightly more complex method of manual installation, which is the most common.

It's got nothing to do with Ikarus. Just like the free downloads for MS Flight Sim has nothing to do with Microsoft. The issue is that it cost money for these designers to wrap their downloads up. These EXE applications cost money to purchase. So what they do is make them manual. Another reason why they make them manual is because of International directory structures. This is a little bit more complicated to explain, but let's just say not all computers are the same. That's why sometime you see downloads in different languages.

One question I have for you is ... I know you are a advocate of MS Flight Simulator. But have you ever downloaded one of the free planes from one of hundreds of sites around the web? Because if you have you would know that they are MUCH more complex to install then the planes for AFP.

Now I spent a few hours working on my little install video on the AFP website and should only take you a couple attempts before you understand how to install the download. But once you get one or 2 or 3 in there, it's easy. The process is actually very simple, no matter how old or young you are. It's just a couple steps.

Now when it comes to anything else ... just ask. We are all here to help. The wings on the Corsair ... no problem. Just read the FAQ on how to do it.
