I use Solartex on all my Golden Age planes. It looks awesome and it's real easy to apply. Some colors such as Antique are transparent which looks great because the wood grain will show through slightly. Just make sure the wood underneath is clean and free of balsa filler. If you're doing a war bird, the army green is perfect. I spray clear kote over the Solartex to help keep fuel and dirt from staining it.
