Default RE: Oil Test Summary by rc bugman

blkbird68,,, if you read the blue highlighted Email from BellRay in the other tread you will see that BellRay DID use an octane boost at 1 time,,,

if the guy from BellRay made a mistake in what oil used the octane boost I can not be accounted for that !!

as I said at one time, I am only repeating what I was told...

BellRay's Enail,,,
Bel-Ray MC-1 2-Stroke Synthetic Racing Oil used to contain an octane booster but the EPA no longer permits it. Both of our premix racing oils are compatible with octane boosters if you wish to use them. It will likely exceed the JASO/API/ISO ratings, as the raw materials in the formula are designed for high heat application and prevent scuffing, scoring, and provide a clean burn. On the other hand we have never tested it to pass specs, as it is designed to be a race oil that we've engineered for overall performance not to meet a specification.
