Actually he is paying it forward as the thread is suppose to do. There is no rule that dictates how, what, when but only why.

In one sense I do agree as I would like to see a starting young pilot get what is offered here, BUT lets take it one step further and if we cannot help our schools then those young people will never become starting young pilots. Assuming you have a class of 15 students, if you get one interested in the hobby then you did good

Go to Nasa's web page and start digging around, especially the astronaut backgrounds and you will find that many of them started back in elementary school building rubber band powered stuff and moved up to where they are now and I'll bet you would find the odd one still flying models to relax with.
