Bill, please don't get me wrong i think it is great schools are doing things like this and i think that the teacher involved deserves a medal for what he is doing especially since he has been pulling money out of his own back pocket. I guess I'm more confused as to why the school are not funding this class as i think they should be the pif thread is showing there are still generous people still around that will go the extra mile to help someone. I really hope i have not offended anyone in questioning this. I just feel the school should be helping this teacher in his endeavor and supporting his class financially instead of him having to spend his own money.
anyway i'm sorry i questioned this. I'm not trying to pull the fabric of the pif thread apart by the seams as i think it is good thing.

The beauty of it all is we all have and are allowed our own ideas and opinions. I agree that schools should be better funded and that is a subject that we will not even debate here. My soon to be wife (I call here my wife) worked as a teacher for a while and her hands were tied in a lot of ways and to take the daily abuse of a bunch of 13 -15 yr olds and not being able to do anything about it for fear of lawsuits was just plain to much for her. She spent a ton of here own money on supplies and thank god for Staples giving teachers a break on school supplies.
So she became a nurse in an ER. She has no interst in this hobby/sport but has taken the time to read the PIF thread and it floors her to see all of the generosity that is still out there and she was even more surprised that I was involved in it. She thought I was sitting here just goofing off (little does she know
) She did try it and wanted to help me in my IMAC practice and possibly call for my at competition but it was not for her.
Now if I can only get her to come to Toledo with me, nah, she would be bored and I would have to do the couple thing instead of oh'ing and ah'ing over then newest toys, err airplanes that will be there.
