I was digging in my pocket earlier and found an extra two cents so here it is. Those of us that still have school age children know how badly the schools need money. They are cutting every corner they can just to continue to pay the teachers they haven't laid off. The elementary schools in my area charge me a $75.00 fee for book rental per child, per year. Does it really cost $75 for my child to use a book for a year? NO. Do I question why they need my money? NO! As long as my kids come home each day smarter than they were when they left in the morning I would pay $75 a month.(If I could)

I think what this thread (PIF) is all about is helping people without question. That a teacher should need help is no surprise to me. We pay the wrong people huge amounts of money (see anyone in Hollywood). Teachers and the military should be making that kind of money.

I needed help and someone came through.( Thanks again Bill.) Do I teach kids? No. I am however a Cubmaster in our local Cub Scout Pack and when I have taught my own kids how to fly, I will teach my Scouts to fly. If I need help with anything I will come here (PIF) secure in the knowledge that there are still people out there willing to help a person in need.

Paul, don't feel bad about having an opinion. Definitely don't feel bad about voicing that opinion. Lots of us have fought to defend your right to voice your opinion.
