I just made some changes to my new hawk wing.
I was not mad keen on mini servos for the ailerons so I modified the wing so that a plastic servo box would fit. I lined the edges of the hole with ply to allow the box to screw down and this has made for a far stiffer set up and I got to use a standrd size servo.
Also the Flaps. I made the servo attached to the hatch cover. One side I stiffened and the other was left standard and there isnt too much flex in either.
For cosmetics I painted the trailing edges in the same colour as the model so that you can not see any bare wood
