RE: Help with indoor shocky spec.
I am building the F3A Shock Flyer and am trying to lighten it up so it will fly great with the AXI 2204/54, TP 2s 900mah, Berg 4 RX, 3 BlueBird 306 Servos (6g), and stock hardware.
1. Are you guys putting wing stiffening carbon on the front and back of the wing? I've heard that the wing won't perform any different if you leave off the stiffener on the back of the wing.
2. What are you using to mount the AXI motor. I need a secure material to screw the 2 tabs to. I didn't see one with an 2204/54 AXI in any pictures in this post, or any other I've seen. There are two little tabs built into the sides of the motor case.
3. Is 7.5 oz. (advertised weight) realistic for the F3A Shocky? Or should I expect it to weigh more?
4. Is Foam Safe CA good to use with the Shock Flyers? I thought I would save some weight over the hot glue or UHU glue.
Thanks for your help! I love the new color schemes! Ikarus has outdone themselves this time. [8D]
