Default 9C setup/mix question

Hello,

I am trying to setup a 3ch (2 aileron/1 elevator) sailplane as follows:

Hardware config:
-two aileron servos, right plugged into #1, left plugged into #5
-one elevator servo, plugged into #2
-hitec 555 receiver(I'd use the Futaba 148 it came with but it shorted out in a crash) []

What I want to do:
-Assign the throttle stick to control the aileron servos as flaps so I can use the throttle stick to adjust flap/spoiler(+100/-100% movement)

What I have done:
-First, in Parameters I have selected the second aileron to be ch.5/6, this got the ailerons working properly.
-Second, I enabled the Flapperon mix with everything set to +100/-100
-Thrid, disabled Flap Trim, as it was limiting the flap/spoiler to a set %, and I want 100% movement.
-At this point the assigned rotary dial(VR-A) controls the flaps. I have a feeling I'm stuck with this setup.
-Beyond that, I've tried all the different mixes to get the throttle stick to control the flaps(both ailerons), but what ends up happening is what ever I assign to flaps just ends up trying to control only the left aileron servo instead of both of them.

Do you have any suggestions for getting the programming to work in this manner? Perhaps I need more channels on my receiver to make this work...?

Thanks,
Avery-
