If your looking for a 3D ship I would not recommend the GP Eagle. I own a GP Pitts, and I like it a lot. However, It is not a good 3D ship. As mentioned above, to short coupled. The Pitts, and Eagle are basically clones, with cosmetic changes.

I have been considering the following for my next bipe: Kange Waco, Chip Hyde's Double Vision, both should be good for 3D, both different from what is normally seen at the field. Also considering GP's Super Stearman, just because it is sooo cool. Don't think it would be a good 3Der though.

Of course if you want a proven design for 3D and don't mind haveing a often repeated aircraft, then by all means, go for an ultimate.
