Cant believe this thread is still running.
LA engines run great, are very reliable, and durable. For what they are designed for they work fine. My .46 LA has been on at least 4 different planes, been in more than a few prop-busting,dirt packing crashes, seen gallons of fuel, ingested an obscene amount of dust, dirt and vegetable matter and still runs strong and reliably.
