RE: thurst lines

Absolutely not cool. On a twin the offset (if any) should always be away from the center of the plane.
Consider running one engine only. With the thrust line away from the fuselage the offset will help keep the plane straight, pointing in it will have more tendency to pull the plane in a circle.
If you can, alter the mountings to eliminate any in thrust, if you want to have them pointing a little out that's OK too.
