Default RE: DIRECT ENGINE REPLACEMENT

With out changing you exhaust you will need an .18 or smaller engine with a standard crank, rotary carb and side exhaust. O.S. .18 engine should bolt right in (pm poorjudgement for more info he has this motor installed).

If you are willing to change to a rear exhaust I would suggest an XTM .18 engine with a standard crank and rotary carb. I have seen this combo in a CEN Rally and it fit without any modifications other than the exhaust change.

To use a .21 or larger you will need CT4 engine mounts, rear exhaust, and a supply of diff cups ( the stock cups don't like that much power).

Probably the most cost effective is to rebuild you .16 into an .18. I have done this and can almost gaurantee that you will not be dissapointed. There is a noticable increase in torque and for me the engine seems more reliable.
