I've been doing some research about making mods to the internals. I have a .46 Leo SNL that runs great and I'm happy with it. I'm just curious as to whether I can make it put out even more by modifying the transfer port and induction ports for increased flow. Any suggestions? Budget engine so I really dont mind experimenting......even if it may only be worth a few hundred rpm gain....I want it all.
Speaking of mods....being a motor-head....I applied a little of my know how to the stock muffler and the results were fantastic...I bored all if the internal hard edges to smooth them out to a radius....air likes to travel the least resistant route (which it does not like to flow around hard edge corners.....it works) I dont have any hard data to support this, but my Leo screams (11X6)....and people in my club are beginning to wonder about how this motor performs so well.
When I purchase a new Leo .46 I'll start with recorded data to support my theory..now back to the porting of the liner question...has anyone done it?
