Whenever you buy a plane/kit. Keep any plans and/or manuals that come it. They take up very little room and can be very handy for repairs and other things like this. Might even want to scratch build another from the plan some day or at least a wing/fuselage. Keep it until the plane is considered to be "DEAD". [:'(] [:@]
