Safety feature - external main power switch on electrics
Hi everyone,
it's me again... I would like to know from you guys what has been done to increase safety with electrics. I plan on using an external connector couple to ensure visibility of the connected/disconnected state of the main (flight) battery. My main concern is that radio failure or frequency jamming sets the engine off and my plane races all over the pits, possibly hurting someone. I would like to have a visible part of this circuit on the outside of the plane, so to tell at a glance if everything is disconnected or "armed". Also this should help in case of problem, i.e. it should be big and usable enough to be pulled in emergency.
I have seen many variations on this mainly with smalles, ECO-class electric boats, where this kind of safety device is compulsory (and I hope that this will be the case in near future also for e-pattern). Has anyone some pics to help me? Thanks a lot in advance!
