I think cutting them was worse than applying them. The Top-Flite striping tool is only fair at keeping the stripes even width.

The landing gear is the stock aluminum that I painted with LusterKote (primer and paint). The wheel pants are made for a 60 size Great Planes U-Can-Do 3D. They have molded on ridges that the gear is supposed to fit through. You either have to grind the landing gear to narrow it up, or grind off one of the ridges on the pants. I chose the easier and ground the pant. Underlying surface isn't great, but I figure who's going to notice. Just sprayed it with white and called it good enough. Probably most any 60 size pant would work. Just didn't know the ones I ordered had the ridge till I got them.
