Default Beginner looking for a sim

Hey guys. I have a pushprop park flyer. Like the Aerobird. I'm interested in stepping up my game a little and getting something real.

I'm interested in getting into helis. However, my next purchase might by another park flyer (Stinson Voyager or something like it). I would like to get a sim first that will allow me to test fly both types of crafts, with emphasis on helis.

Now, I understand Reflex XTR is generally the way to go, and I'd love to pick it up, but I don't have a tx yet. I believe I need a tx b/c Reflex uses the tx as a controller. I want to get a Futaba 9C or JR 9303, but that's a big investment to make in something I might not stick with. I would prefer to get the sim first and then decide if helis are the way to go. If not, I can always sell the sim. But I'd lose a lot of money trying to sell the tx afterwards too. So that leads me to Real Flight G2 or G3. I was gonna get G3, but balked in favor of Reflex. But now that I think about it, G3 and/or G2 will actually have the controller, so it will be the cheapest way to go.

I want to know if I'm really trading off a lot going with G2/G3 instead of Reflex, b/c I don't have a tx and I want to be able to try the sim before investing in tx and planes/helis. I heard the physics are off, but how much. Can I still learn to fly a heli using G3? Is there a cheap way to go with Reflex, like using a cheap tx with it? Thoughts or suggestions are needed. PEACE.
